Four songs exploring toxic relationships from a variety of perspectives. They follow on from my 2021 single "Hard to Escape (Song for Chris)" that was based on the experiences of a friend who had the misfortune to be in two toxic relationships. These songs are based on my personal experience of dealing with people who display entitlement, control and lack of empathy. I also undertook some research to find the best scientific evidence that psychologists can offer to explain these patterns of behaviour. These songs reflect real life consistent with science. maybe not easy listening, but hopefully still enjoyable.
